TL;DR — The One-Sentence Version

SlamDoor collects zero personal data, runs zero ads, and sells nothing about you to anyone.

The rest of this page explains the details. But if you read nothing else: we're not watching you, tracking you, or profiting from your behavior.

What we collect

When you use SlamDoor to scan your phone's apps:

SlamDoor shows you a list of known pre-installed apps based on the phone brand you tell us. That's it. We never see your actual device.

The breach checker (Have I Been Pwned)

If you use the data breach checker on the Security Hub, you type in an email address to check if it's appeared in known data breaches.

Your email is never stored. It's passed directly to the Have I Been Pwned API to fetch results, then discarded. We don't log it, save it to a database, or associate it with any profile.

Have I Been Pwned is a third-party service with their own privacy policy. They only receive a hash of the first 5 characters of your email — not the full address.

Analytics

We use a minimal, privacy-respecting analytics beacon (Polsia Analytics). It records only:

No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting. No selling this data to anyone. The visitor ID is random — it doesn't identify you in any way.

AI chat assistant

If you use the AI chat widget on the scanner page, your messages are sent to Polsia's AI proxy to generate a response. The context passed to the AI includes:

Chat history is not stored between sessions. Closing the tab ends the conversation.

Cookies

We use no tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for the anonymous visitor ID mentioned above, and your in-session scan choices (which apps you marked Keep/Remove). Both are local to your browser only.

Third parties

We don't share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies. The only third-party data flows are:

Data retention

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to retain. Your session data (scan choices) exists in your browser only and disappears when you close or refresh the tab.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. We won't bury a material change in legalese.
